Symmetry properties of embedded space-times
Description
The properties of the groups SO(r,s) in the local embedding formalism applied to general relativity are investigated. It is shown that these groups are the common generators of the Poincare group in general relativity. Furthermore if a sufficiently small neighbourhood of the embedding point is chosen those groups can also generate isometries of space-time in that neighbourhood

Investigam-se as propriedades dos grupos SO(r,s) no formalismo de imersao local aplicado a Relatividade Geral. Mostra-se que esses grupos sao os geradores comuns do grupo de Poincare na relatividade geral. Se, alem disso, escolhe-se uma vizinhanca suficientemente pequena do ponto de imersao, aqueles grupos podem gerar tambem isometrias do espaco-tempo nessa vizinhancaAdditional details
