Lattice site location of implanted argon in iron and nickel crystals, ch.2

  • 1. Stichting voor Fundamenteel Onderzoek der Materie, Amsterdam (Netherlands). Instituut voor Atoom en Molecuulfysica

Description

The lattice sites of Ar implanted into Fe and Ni crystals are determined using the channeling technique in combination with proton induced characteristic X-ray emission. The results show that at least 90% of the implanted Ar atoms occupy random sites, which is consistent with hyperfine interaction measurements of Devare and De Waard. (Auth.)
