Theoretical analysis and computer simulation of the amplitude of electrostatic plasma waves excited by a power-modulated laser beam
- 1. Nagoya Univ. (Japan). Faculty of Engineering
Description
The amplitude of electrostatic ion cyclotron waves excited by a power-modulated laser beam is compared with those predicted by theoretical analysis and computer simulation. It is shown that the wave amplitude obtained experimentally roughly agrees with the theoretical value within an order of magnitude, while the amplitude in the computer simulation is consistent with the theoretical values within a factor of 1.5.
