- 1. Showa Univ., Tokyo (Japan). Hospital
Description
It is now 25 years since screen film system for mammography have been developed. Today, many vendors provide various systems ranging from low to high sensitivity screens. Selection of a system is very important but the product of choice differs greatly among institutions. In order to choose an appropriate system for screening mammography, we have selected various products with different sensitivity profile from each vendor and tested their physical characteristics and visual evaluation at 45 and 90 second development time. Kodak-Min-R2000 screen and Min-R2000 film combination performed best on 90 second development time and Kodak-Min-R screen with EB/RA film on 45 second development time. (author)
