Multiple-phonon resonance raman scattering in solid solutions based on zinc sulphide-zinc telluride crystals

Description
Multiple phonon Raman scattering in solid solutions ZnTe1-xSx (x equals 0.01; 0.02; 0.04; 0.06) in two-mode type of phonon spectrum rearrangement under conditions of resonance excitation is investigated expermentally. The increase with scattering order of relative intensities of composite lines with the participation of longitudinal optical (LO) phonons, corresponding to ZnTe and ZnS components of the solid solution as compared with the overton one is ascertained. Experimental data on the distribution of the multiple phonon line intensities agree well with the calculation results, which take into account nonidentity of LO-phonons in solid solutions of polar semiconductors
