This book deals with the running principles of fuel cell, the different components of the cell system as well as its possible applications as embedded, portable and stationary applications. It deals then with the problems inherent in this technology such as hydrogen production, its storage and more largely, the economy of hydrogen. Moreover the fuel cell is compared to the existing techniques (conventional thermal vehicles), but to the emerging technologies too as batteries systems or hybrid-powered vehicles. (O.M.)
