Description

The results of research into using laser isotope separation methods for production of the carbon-13 isotope are given. Laser isotope separation method is founded on the effect of isotopically-selective multi-photon dissociation of molecules under infrared radiation effect (IR MPD). The peculiarities of carbon-13 isotope application in medicine are discussed. The structural scheme of pilot plant for laser separation of carbon isotopes is demonstrated. The system operates with the mean productivity near 3 g/h of 13C with enrichment of 30 - 40 %, the regime of work is continuous, the parameters of operation are given

Abstract (Russian)

Представлены результаты исследований применения лазерных методов разделения для производства изотопа углерода-13. Лазерный метод разделения изотопов основан на эффекте изотопически-селективной многофотонной диссоциации молекул под действием инфракрасного лазерного излучения (метод ИК МФД). Обсуждаются особенности применеия изотопа углерод-13 в медицине. Приведена структурная схема опытно-промышленной установки лазерного разделения изотопов углерода. Комплекс работает со средней производительностью около 3 г/час 13C с обогащеним 30 -40 %, режим работы неперерывный, приведены параметры работы лазера
