Establishment of a three-dimensional seismic vibration for nuclear reactor house design on a base of engineering evaluation

  • 1. Building Research Inst., Tsukuba, Ibaraki (Japan)

Description

In this study, on concept of collecting a lot of data on strong vibration of recent earthquake in and out of Japan, evaluation and re-investigation using new data in addition of the present ones on the present seismic vibration for design of the nuclear facilities were aimed to conduct. Contents of the investigations were study on area and time dependence of earthquake formation (containing fracture type, scale, and so on), study on upgrading of seismic vibration forecasting method on a base of report feature of recent earthquake, study on classification method of the seismic vibration due to fracture power of buildings, and development of three-dimensional seismic vibration evaluation method for design. In the first fiscal year, as a main action of collection of fundamental data on the seismic vibration evaluation, arrangement of the past strong earthquake report with large amplitude level, arrangement and comparison of the past design, and so forth, were executed.
