Application of X-ray fluorescence spectrometry for the determination of some elements in alloys

  • 1. Institute for Technology of Radioactive and Rare Elements, Hanoi (Viet Nam)

Description

The study of energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) technique for the determination of some elements such as Cu, Sn, Ni, As, and Pb in alloys was carried out in the present work. This technique was then applied for the analysis of bronze and stainless steel samples. A series of six reference materials of tin bronze was used for the calibration of all analyzed elements. The analytical results showed that the proposed procedures could be employed for the analysis of bronze alloys. (author)
