Variation of structure state of Fe40Ni40P14B6 amorphous alloy during natural aging

Description
Structure variations in volume and in surface layers of Fe40Ni40P14B6 amorphous alloy during natural aging (without thermal treatment or other physical treatments) in 3 years are studied by means of Moessbauer gamma-resonance spectroscopy and Moessbauer differential conversion-electron spectroscopy. It is shown, that phase stratification of amorphous matrix occurs in volume, while crystallization processes begin in ∼100 nm thin surface layer
