Description

Geomagnetic effects of high-velocity fluxes of the solar wind in the asub(p), AE, Dsub(st) indices are investigated. It is shown that disturbance degree of the solar wind in high velocity fluxes determines the intensity of corresponding geomagnetic variations. Geomagnetic effects of high-velocity, fluxes in the asub(p), AE and Dsub(St) indices is provided by a set of parameters characterizing the disturbance degree of the solar wind (minimum component of the interplanetary magnetic field B, solar wind velocity and solar wind flux density). Indices of magnetic activity asub(p), AE, Dsub(St) for the majority of high-velocity fluxes reach their maximum values when passing the region of compressed solar wind near the Earth
