Effect of welding current curve shape on weld formation and properties of welded joint at argon-arc welding with nonconsumable electrode
Creators
Description
The effect of the current pulsations on the formation of the weld during the argon-arc welding with a non-melting electrode has been experimentally investigated. The experiments with specimens made of the EhP199 alloy have shown that dimensions of welds are determined by the mean value of the welding current and are independent on the shape of the current curve. The mechanism of the weld crystallization during the pulsating current welding is more favourable than that carried out with the smoothed current. It has been observed that strength and plasticity properties of a compound improve when heat-resistant alloys are welded with the pulsating current
