Ductile fracture analysis by means of a local approach

  • 1. Electricite de France, 77 - Moret-sur-Loing. Service Reacteurs Nucleaires et Echangeurs
  • 2. Universite de Technologie de Compiegne, 60 (France)

Description

After a survey of the theoretical background of the ductile fracture model, the influence of inclusion content and its modelisation are discussed. Then, in order to illustrate the application of this method to structural components, the analysis of a pressurized thermal shock experiment 20 MnMoNi 55 on a large scale cylinder is detailed.
