Description
New Kr II and Ar II cw laser transitions were observed in He-Kr and He-Ar high voltage hollow cathode discharges. Excitation mechanism is believed to be second kind collisions between He 23S atoms and ground state ions. An output power of 100 mW was obtained at the 4694 A line of Kr II. (Auth.)
