Neutrino-driven streaming instability of spin waves in dense magnetized plasma

  • 1. Institute of Terrestrial Magnetism, Ionosphere, and Radio-Wave Propagation, Russian Academy of Sciences (IZMIRAN), Troitsk, 142092 (Russian Federation)

Description

The spin effects on electromagnetic waves in a strongly magnetized plasma with rare collisions are considered with the help of relativistic kinetic equations, which take into account the electron spin dynamics in self-consistent electric and magnetic fields. The growth rate of the electromagnetic spin waves in the presence of intense quasi-monoenergetic fluxes of neutrinos is determined
