Description
Description of problem or function: The programs carry out the analysis of AND/OR logic trees, determining the minimal significant cut sets, permitting therefore the fixing of a minimum limit on the unavailability and unreliability of the cut sets being determined. For each cut set the unavailability, unreliability and weight are calculated together with the unavailability and unreliability of the entire system. AWE-2 uses a bound method to calculate the unavailability. The primary events of the system can have a constant probability or an exponential failure law, with or without repair, and may eventually be put under periodic control. The program BRUNA allows as the parameters of the primary events, not only a single value but a distribution of values. A histogram of the unavailability and reliability of the system is determined
