Assessment of traumatic spinal cord injury with filtered DWI
Creators
Description
Diffusion-weighted MRI (DWI) can provide biomarkers that can be used to determine the severity of traumatic spinal cord injuries. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is the most commonly used method of DWI. Among other things, axial diffusivity (AD) can be determined, which can occur after a spinal cord injury spinal cord injury due to the associated axonal damage.

(© Thieme.
