Influence of charge, angular momentum and magnetic field on the translational motion of bodies in the theory of general relativity

Description

In the framework of a post-Newtonian approximation to the general theory of relativity, the authors discusse the influence exerted on the translational motion of bodies of comparable mass by their electrical charge, spin and magnetic dipole fields. They assess and evaluate the secular effects due to the interaction of the gravitational and electromagnetic fields of bodies. On this basis they suggest designs for two new experiments to verify the general theory of relativity. (author)
