A system of monitoring material clogging in a Low Linier Density Polyethylene reactor using gamma radiation

Description

A clogging monitor system of LLDPE (Low linier density polyethylene) has been constructed using gamma radiation absorption method. By placing gamma source Cs137 in the centre of the LLDPE process reactor in which detectors system (12 detectors) installed surrounding outside of the LLDPE reactor process will give results dynamic information of material process in the reactor. The display profile of the measurement in the form of two dimensional topography. The advantages of the system comparing to other systems are that the proposed system can be used to monitor any material fluctuation in the reactor directly and on-line. The system can also be used to predict any possibility of clogging at the processing time. (author)
