Renewable hydrogen - A response to climate, air and energy issues in Ile-de-France
Description
The advantages of hydrogen mobility are numerous: long range, rapid refueling, versatility of use, low noise and zero emissions. As a leading economic region with numerous land and river logistics hubs, the Paris Region is a prime location for demonstrating, accelerating and mass-marketing hydrogen solutions. The major challenges of air quality, energy transition and greenhouse gas emissions (particularly from road transport), combined with the presence of major industrial and energy groups, numerous companies in the sector and world-class research centers, argue in favor of the deployment of hydrogen in the Paris Region. This publication presents an overview of hydrogen projects in the Paris Region. The map illustrates the diversity of projects and the area's network. It highlights mobility uses (and associated stations) as well as R and D and industrialization projects in the Paris Region
