Description
Spatial distribution of radon exhalation rate from the ground surface is the most fundamental information for radiologists concerning the internal dose from radon decay products as well as for geologists and atmospheric scientists who are interested in use of radon as a tracer of natural processes. Although there are several global and regional radon maps, they are considerably inconsistent to each other. The purpose of this study is to develop and improve a method of estimating a distribution of radon exhalation flux in regional to global scale by using both a physical model of radon exhalation processes and observed atmospheric radon concentrations
