Present status of the compact ERL at KEK

Description
The present status of the compact ERL (cERL) at High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK), including machine troubles and recent progress of beam dynamics studies, are reported. The cERL was operated less than 400 hours due to shortage of funds. Generation and transportation of the high bunch charge of 40 pC without energy recovery, evaluation of the bunch length and the normalized emittance for several bunch charges, the bunch compression and THz generation for 2 pC bunch charge, beam halo and beam loss studies, and beam timing measurements using HOMs in injector superconducting cavity were conducted in FY2016.
