High energy scattering and AdS/CFT
Description
At high energies, elastic hadronic cross sections are believed to be dominated by vacuum exchange. In leading order of the 1/Nc expansion this exchange process has traditionally been identified as the BFKL Pomeron. We review here the recent development where Pomeron in strong coupling can be identified by its AdS dual the closed string graviton. (author)
