Description
Anatase polymorph of titania is the most studied and most photocatalytically active among all the three polymorphs known. The large band gap limits its use in the visible region of the spectrum. Doping by anions has been done in the work to reduce the band gap to material and to shift the absorption edge in the visible region of the spectrum. The synthesized polymorph is characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) and Raman spectroscopy. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) has been recorded to confirm the presence of vacancies.
