Superconductivity of Nb3Sn films on a dielectric substrate

Description
A summary is given of the results of studies into the superconducting and electrophysical properties of Nb3Sn films obtained in a relatively low vacuum (10-5 to 10-6 torr) by way of condensation on dielectric substrate. The critical temperatures of such films have been found to be near to those of a bulk material, while the critical magnetic fields (measured at 4.2 deg K in a pulsed magnetic field) exceed in magnitude that of bulk Nb3Sn by about 100 koersteds
