Conditions for natural suppression of CP violation
Description
We study the conditions for the natural suppression of CP violation at the orders G/sub F/ and G/sub F/α of quark--gauge-boson couplings in the SU(2) x U(1) gauge-theory framework. For the natural suppression of CP at the order G/sub F/, the necessary and sufficient condition is that the quarks of the charges q and (a - 1) do not belong to the same isomultiplets for at least one chirality. However, it is not generally possible to naturally suppress CP at the order G/sub F/α except for the limited class of models such as the standard four-quark model
