Feedwater chemistry for steam generators in HTR reactors
Description
It will still take some time to gain experience in feedwater chemistry at the Schmehausen HTR reactor. At the Fort St. Vrain 330 MW HTGR reactor, in contrast, feedwater operating values can already expressed in parts per million. The US reactor works in forced circulation; steam generator and gas compressor are integrated in the pressure vessel, and there are special demands to be made on the feedwater. The author, who works at General Atomic in the USA, states the criteria to be observed for perfect operation. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Bis man im Hochtemperaturreaktor Schmehausen Erfahrungen mit der Speisewasserchemie gesammelt hat, wird noch einige Zeit ins Land gehen. Anders in 330 MW-HTGR-Reaktor Fort St. Vrain, USA, wo sich Speisewasser-Betriebswerte schon auf das 'part per billion' ausdruecken lassen. Der US-Reaktor arbeitet im Zwangsdurchlaufbetrieb, Dampferzeuger und Gasverdichter sind im Druckbehaelter integriert und es ergeben sich besondere Anforderungen an das Speisewasser. Welche Kriterien fuer den stoerungsfreien Betrieb zu beachten sind, beschreibt der Autor, Mitarbeiter der General Atomic in den USA. (orig.)Additional details
