Influence of electric fields on highly excited states of H2: quantum-defect-theory approach
Description
A quantum-defect theory of the Stark effect is applied to study the effects of an electric field on highly excited states of molecular hydrogen. The Stark energy levels are calculated. Also investigated are field effects on photoionization through rotational autoionisation. (author)
