The well-type Ge(Li)-detector as a tool in radiochemistry
Description
The application of well-type Ge(Li)-detectors in low activity counting systems as well as in instrumental activation analysis systems is discussed. It is concluded that the increased efficiency and the near-absence of a sample geometrical effects more than compensate the disadvantages, mainly cost and summation effects, of this type of detector.
