Description
Starting from a survey of the primary energy carriers within the framework of world industry and of the energy potential of the earth the basic features of energy supply systems using all known energy conversion techniques are described. The concluding chapter is dedicated to pollution problems and to safety. It is the purpose of the present book to deal with the problem of future energy supply and the most complex questions related here to within a compact description. (UA)

Ausgehend von einem Ueberblick ueber die Primaerenergietraeger im Rahmen der Weltwirtschaft und ueber das Energiepotential der Erde werden die Grundzuege von Energieversorgungssystemen unter Anwendung bisher bekannter Energieumwandlungstechniken beschrieben. Ein abschliessendes Kapitel ist den Problemen der Umweltbelastung und der Sicherheit gewidmet. Es ist der Zweck des vorliegenden Buches, die Problematik der kuenftigen Energieversorgung und vielschichtige damit zusammenhaengende Fragen in einer geschlossenen Darstellung zu behandeln.
