Safety regulations for power generation in Japan
Description
Power plants in Japan are subject to legal regulations which are similar to those applied in the Federal Republic of Germany, i.e. air pollution abatement and atomic energy laws. The Japanese atomic energy law mainly intends to reduce emissions during normal operation, watch over safety measures, and ensure the selection of suitable sites. (DG)
