Electrodynamics in a model with induced geometry
Description
Recently the author presented a classical field model involving a fundamental metric and a coexisting induced metric which is generated by a real dynamical scalar field. The QCD-Lagrangian can be formulated in terms of the induced metric in a consistent way, so the model allows for confined quarks and gluons. The quarks are uncharged. In the present paper it is shown that quarks can be given an electric charge and that the behavior of bags filled with charged quarks and (uncharged) gluons in a given electromagnetic field can be consistently and uniquely described. It is also shown that the electromagnetic field can be taken into account dynamically, which makes the mutual electromagnetic interaction of quarks possible
