Acoustic leakage monitoring system - one year of operational experience
Description
On the basis of numerous preliminary investigations of the characteristics of leakage and operational noises, an acoustic leakage monitoring system was developed enabling continuous monitoring of pressurized components. It has been a year since a prototype system was built into a German PWR-type reactor. The experience gained so far indicates that the hardware used is functional and apt for continuous operation. Nach umfangreichen Voruntersuchungen ueber die Eigenschaften von Leckage- und Betriebsgeraeuschen wurde ein akustisches Leckueberwachungssystem (ALUeS) konzipiert, das die kontinuierliche Ueberwachung druckfuehrender Komponenten gestattet. Seit nunmehr einem Jahr ist ein begrenzter Prototyp dieses Systems in einem deutschen Druckwasserreaktor eingebaut. Aufgrund der bisherigen Erfahrungen kann die eingesetzte Hardware als funktionstuechtig und als fuer den Dauerbetrieb geeignet bezeichnet werden. (orig.)Additional details
