Protective clothing for fire brigades for special hazards

Description

Members of fire brigades are exposed to a great variety of hazards in cases of emergency. Particularly severe danger emanates from the effects of chemical and radioactive substances, from the effects of radiant heat and flames, and from mechanical impacts. Several types of protective clothing for the various cases are presented and explained in this article. (orig.)

Entsprechende Schutzkleidungen werden kurz vorgestellt. Im Einsatzdienst ist der Feuerwehrmann den verschiedensten Gefahren ausgesetzt, die seine Gesundheit bedrohen. Besondere Gefahren sind: Wirkung von chemischen und radioaktiven Stoffen; Wirkung von strahlender Waerme und Flammenberuehrung; Mechanische Einwirkungen. (orig.)
