Description

High temperature compression diagrams of structur l steels containing 0.4% of C (40; 40Kh; 40Kh', 40KhN2MA, 40KhNMKF steels) alloyed with Cr, Ni, Mo, Co and V in different combinations are studied. Deformation was conducted within the 900-1050 C temperature range. Investigation of a grain structure of steels and estimation of activation energy of hot working reveals that within the above temperature range a process of dynamic recrystallization complies with a steady state of deformation. Chromium, molybdenum, cobalt, and vanadium are the elements increasing steel resistance to high-temperature strain and slowing down processes of structural softening. Their action is additive. Nickel results in acceleration of the processes of dynamic softening of alloy steel
