Facility construction simulation experiments in steam cooling type PWR nuclear power plant containment

Description

In the aim of research on the process of cooling steam inside the reactor containment, the construction of facility has been down to conduct the experiment of cooling steam simulation. This facility has a dimension of 1700 mm height, outer diameter of 828.1 mm, and temperature of 150 °C. The facility is equipped with heating element (heater), water spray (nozzle), the window for recording, pressure gauges, temperature, boiling water bath as well as water reservoir, drain hole and grate. The facility is also possible to be opened and to be closed using a flange for purposes of maintenance or replacement of components. Construction has been tested during the experiment and the system working properly and able to withstand pressures of up to 1.8 bar with a temperature of 118 °C. (author)
