Status and facilities of nuclear power plant remote monitoring in Nordrhein-Westfalen
Description
With the remote monitoring system the MWMT can readily provide an up-to-date picture of the disposal in the air and in water of radioactive substances from the nuclear power plants of Wuergassen and Hamm-Uentrop, as well as of the operational conditions of the plants. The data are transmitted automatically via DATEX lines to MWMT and LIS in Essen. The system has an automatic alarm device which notifies MWMT whenever prescribed limit values are exceeded, without the intervention of the owner of the nuclear power plant in question. Moreover, the supervising authority responsible for legal matters of atomic energy has set up a consultation office for questions of radiation protection. (DG)

Mit der KFUe ist der MWMT in der Lage, sich jederzeit einen aktuellen Ueberblick ueber die Ableitung radioaktiver Stoffe aus den KKW Wuergassen und Hamm-Uentrop in Luft und Wasser sowie ueber den Betriebszustand der Anlagen zu verschaffen. Die Daten werden automatisch ueber DATEX-Leitungen zum MWMT und LIS nach Essen uebermittelt. Bei Ueberschreitung vorgegebener Grenzwerte ist eine automatische Alarmmeldung an den MWMT vorgesehen, die unabhaengig vom Kernkraftwerksinhaber erfolgt. Weiterhin ist von der atomrechtlichen Aufsichtsbehoerde eine Strahlenschutz-Rufbereitschaft eingerichtet worden. (DG)Additional details
