Description

Disruption conditions for a non-stationary plasma flux produced under powerful laser radiation focusing on a solid target are obtained. A laser forinjector of heavy (A ∼ 200 a.e.m.) multicharged ions (Z=1-9) is developed on the base of a two-grid plasma diode; a heavy ion beam with total current of ∼ 200 mA, pulse duration of 10-30 μs and phase volume of ∼ 2x√ Zx10-2 cm x mrad is produced; monitoring of ion beam parameters is adjusted. The results obtained point out ways of using the laser forinjector in different types of accelerating systems
