Soft X-ray monochromator of compact light source at Ritsumeikan University

  • 1. Faculty of Engineering, Osaka Electronic-Communication University, Neyagawa, Osaka (Japan)

Description

Soft X-ray monochromator using compact synchrotron radiation source was established at Beam Line 1 of synchrotron radiation center in Ritsumeikan University. Condensing system for the mirror is completed so as to use synchrotron radiation source effectively. Measurement can be performed at energy range from 500 eV to 4000 eV by changing curbed crystal. Three kinds of measurement method that are normal transmission method, total electron method and fluorescences X-ray yield method can be used for measurement. Using Ge(111) curved crystal, sulfur K X-ray absorption spectra of NiS and K2S are measured by normal transmission method. The measured spectra are compared with that measured at Advanced Light Source in USA. Difference of sulfur K X-ray absorption spectra for Na2S2O5 between by using normal transmission method and total electron yield method is shown. In the present work, an outline of monochromator and a part of result are reported. (author)
