Radon, smoking and dosimetry
Description
This paper examines the risks associated with exposure to radon and its decay products through estimation of lifetime excess absolute risks (LEAR) per WLM for a variety of epidemiological risk projection models and reference populations. Current risk projection models are relative risk models and hence the risks are strongly dependent on the characteristics of the underlying reference populations, especially the prevalence of smoking in the population.
