High-resolution duplex US and vertebral arteries
Description
The authors prospectively evaluated almost 500 patients with high-resolution scanners and have demonstrated forward flow in one or both vertebral arteries in more than 90% of these patients. In only 7% of patients were they unable to detect flow in either of the vertebral arteries. They conclude that the presence and detection of flow in vertebral arteries can be successfully documented with high-resolution duplex scanning techniques
