Description
The demands for low NOx and carbon (CO2) emissions, high combustion efficiency and the necessity to save natural resources of fossils have led to development of the technology for fossil fuel co-firing with renewables (wood waste, wood biomass, etc.). To find out the most important factors determining the formation of polluting emissions at different stages of wood biomass co-firing with propane and to improve the composition of polluting emissions, an experimental study of the release of polluting emissions (NOx, CO2) at the heat production in the process of wood granules - propane co-firing has been carried out at different conditions of co-firing by varying the rate of air and propane supply into the gasifier.
