On the role of quasi particle plus two phonons components in wave functions of non-rotational low-lying states of deformed nuclei

  • 1. Joint Inst. for Nuclear Research, Dubna (USSR)

Description

A study is made of ''quasiparticle plus two phonons'' components in the wave functions of nonrotational states for highly deformed odd nuclei. The model proposed previously for the quasiparticle-phonon interaction by the some authors is used. The change of energy and structure of low-lying states for 239U and 161Gd nuclei are taking the rootes of secular equations γ=3,4,5 into account in single-phonon approximation; b) on the terms of the ''quasiparticle plus two phonon'' wave function. It is shown that: 1) single-phonon approximation is a reliable method for calculation of energy and structure of states up to excitation energy of 1 MeV for highly deformed nuclei in the rare-earth region, and up to 0.5-0.7 MeV energy for actinides; 2) the contribution of ''quasiparticle plus two phonons'' components of wave function should be allowed for by calculating properties of states with energy greater than 1.0-1.5 MeV; 3) the effect of phonons with lambda>3 and secular equation roots j(>=)3 for phonons on the states with energy less than 1 MeV could be neglected
