A phenomenological model for nuclear leptoproduction
Description
Recent data from electroproduction of hadrons on nuclei exhibit a decrease with atomic number A of the fragmentation distributions in the forward region. It is shown that the results can be understood inside the usual quark-parton model with the ordinary quark-fragmentation distributions if the quark during its passage out of the nucleus loses a fraction of its energy in repeated independent collisions with the nucleus.
