The effect of silver substitution for copper on the crystal structure of Ba/sub 2/YCu/sub 3/O/sub 7-∞/ superconductor

Description
Samples of Ba/sub 2/YCu/sub 3/O/sub 7-∞/ doped with silver for copper were studied with the intent of determining the limit of solubility and the ultimate location of silver in the structure. X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used for both studies. Qualitative XRD and lattice parameter techniques were used to determine the limit of solid solution and Rietveld non-linear least squares analysis was used to determine the location of the silver at the oil doping level
