Description
Release of 85Kr from foils of Ni, Ti and 316 stainless steel following ion bombardment to intermediate doses and at 500 keV energy proceeds in the temperature range 800 to 12000C with activation enthalpies of about 3.1 to 3.3 eV. Similar release processes have been reported for the same metals and He, indicating that type and size of the rare gas do not drastically affect release at normal diffusional temperature (stage II release).
