Recent results on the search for the Higgs boson at the LHC

Description
In December 2011 the ATLAS and CMS experiment teams presented preliminary results on the quest for the Higgs boson. Both experiments show an excess of events that is consistent with the existence of a Higgs boson whose mass would be between 124 and 126 GeV. The 2012 campaign will provide CMS and ATLAS with at least 5 times more proton collisions at a colliding energy slightly higher. The analysis of this new data will be decisive for settling the question of the existence of the Higgs boson
