Description
The complex chemical behaviour of U(IV) and U(VI) in amphiprotic solutions, especially in mixtures of solvents, was investigated using ion exchange and solvent extraction methods. The experimental data was used, on the one hand, in order to obtain complexing constants in dependence of ligands and their concentration as well as of the agent and to classify these in a universal scale of ion activities with water as reference point, and on the other hand, to explain the interactions between central atom, ligand and solvating molecule. One aim of these investigations is to understand the basic mechanisms in adjusting the equilibrium between two different phases in the separation chemistry of these elements. (orig./LH)

Mit den Methoden des Ionenaustausches und der Solvent Extraktion wurde das komplexchemische Verhalten von U(IV) und U(VI) in amphiprotischen Loesungen, speziell in Mischungen von Loesungsmitteln, untersucht. Die experimentellen Daten wurden einerseits dazu herangezogen um Komplexbildungskonstanten in Abhaengigkeit von Liganden und dessen Konzentration, sowie des Loesungsmittels zu erhalten und diese in eine universelle Skala von Ionenaktivitaeten, mit Wasser als Bezugspunkt einzuordnen und um andererseits die Wechselwirkungen zwischen Zentralatom, Ligand und Solvatmolekuel zu erklaeren. Ein Ziel dieser Untersuchungen ist es, in der Separationschemie dieser Elemente, die grundlegenden Mechanismen bei der Einstellung des Gleichgewichts zwischen zwei verschiedenen Phasen zu verstehen.
