Summary of current radiation dose estimates to humans from 123I, 124I, 126I, 130I, and 131I as sodium rose bengal

Creators

Description

Estimated absorbed doses to human gall bladder, gastrointestinal tract, liver, ovaries, bone marrow, and testes from 123I, 124I, 126I, 130I, and 131I after a single intravenous administration as sodium rose bengal are summarized. The greatest uncertainty in these dose estimates is due to the variability in time for the movement of radioiodine through the biliary tract, gall bladder, and gastrointestinal tract
