On the amplitude of the electric quadrupole Δ33 (1240) → γN transition

Description
The ratio of resonance contributions to the multipole amplitudes E sub(1+) sup(3/2) a nd M sub(1+) sup(3/2) has been obtained from the multipole analysis of pion photoproduction off nucleons. The obtained results confirm the prediction of the quark model with quantum chromodynamics on the existence of the tensor forces associated with one-gluon exchange in the framework of the theory of colour magnetism.
